Museo Del 20 de Julio

Is also called Museo de la Independencia and Museo del Florero de Llorente. It was built in a corner near the Plaza de Bolívar, the historical center of Bogotá. It's importance is huge thanks to that there was the place where the Grito de Independecia (Independence Shout) was given. It's said that the strategy for independence of Colombia was developed there, and the whole situation turned around a flower vase that Mr. Llorente owned; then the situation got complicated and everyone started war to get the independence from the Spanish colonizers.

It's a very particular house, taking in account it's architecture, it hasn't been changed at all, it has a colonial style since the Spanish came and built it. At first it was only a house, but in 1960, it was opened to public as a museum.

It is one of the most complete places to learn about history and culture in Bogotá, because it has plenty of information inside; but not only that: it has some objects that were used in that times, copies of important documents, videos that can be enjoyed, guides that will explain every single detail about anything and everything, colorful and explicative expositions and more.
